Planning within Dacorum is administered by Dacorum Borough Council who determine the application in line with Local and National planning policies.

Dacorum Borough Council consult with Nash Mills Parish Council to gather comments on applications that affect our parish, this usually takes place in our monthly meetings.  The planning lists  can be found on the link Dacorum Planning Portal.

Parish Council decisions will be contained in the Parish Council minutes, however the full response can be found on the Dacorum Borough Council Planning Portal by searching by property address or application reference. This information is freely available in the public domain. For freedom of information requests please check the portal or minutes for the information first.

Whilst we are a  consultee in the process we are not a decision maker and therefore any pre-planning questions or queries should be addressed to the planning case officer at Dacorum Borough Council. There is also the facility for any member of the public to comment on the Dacorum Borough Council planning portal in relation to an application.

Residents are welcome to speak at a parish council meeting under the public participation section regarding any applications that are being considered at that meeting. Whilst we are conducting remote meetings please contact the clerk to obtain assistance with this. Please check our agenda list and the up to date Dacorum Borough Council list should you have an interest in a particular application as on occasion applications may appear for consideration after the agenda has been posted.

With effect from May 2019 planning matters will be covered under the main Nash Mills Parish Council agenda therefore there will not be separate planning minutes.

Please note that minutes in ‘draft’ form have not yet been formally approved by Nash Mills Parish Council
